Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport and proceed to Phuentsholing, the gateway town of Bhutan by road. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas, Phuentsholing is a lively commercial centre where Bhutanese traditions meet Indian influences.
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or enjoy a leisurely walk through the local markets and town area.
Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Complete the immigration formalities and continue towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The journey unfolds through scenic valleys, rivers, and forested landscapes.
On arrival, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax and acclimatize to the serene Himalayan surroundings.
Overnight stay at Thimphu.
Begin the day with sightseeing in Thimphu. Visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma), offering panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley and housing one of the largest Buddha statues in the world.
Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King, followed by a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, which provides insight into traditional Bhutanese life and culture.
Later, proceed towards Punakha / Wangdue, crossing the scenic Dochu La Pass, adorned with 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens and colorful prayer flags.
Enjoy spectacular Himalayan views before arriving in Punakha. Check in at the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Option 1: Gangtey & Phobjikha Valley Excursion
Journey to the beautiful Gangtey Valley, passing through picturesque villages, forests, and mountain landscapes.
Visit Gangtey Goemba, the only Nyingmapa monastery in western Bhutan, established in the 17th century. Continue to Phobjikha Valley, a stunning glacial valley and the winter home of the endangered Black-Necked Cranes.
Enjoy time to explore the valley and appreciate its tranquil natural beauty before returning to Punakha.
Option 2: Punakha Valley Sightseeing
Explore the scenic Punakha Valley at a relaxed pace. Hike to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten, perched atop a hill offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valley.
Visit the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan. Continue to the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, beautifully situated on a ridge overlooking the Punakha and Wangdue valleys.
The remainder of the day is free for leisure.

Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, also known as the Palace of Great Happiness. Once the seat of Bhutan’s government, it remains the winter residence of the central monastic body and holds great historical and spiritual significance.
Later, take a gentle walk to Chhimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Temple of Fertility, founded by the legendary Lama Drukpa Kuenley, also known as the Divine Madman.
Continue onward to the scenic Paro Valley. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. The evening is free to explore Paro town and local markets.

Explore the cultural highlights of Paro Valley. Visit Ta Dzong, originally built as a watchtower and now the National Museum of Bhutan, showcasing an exceptional collection of artifacts, textiles, weapons, and religious art.
Continue to Rinpung Dzong, an imposing fortress that serves as the administrative and monastic centre of Paro.
Later, visit the historic Drukgyel Dzong, preserved as a heritage site and offering magnificent views of Mount Jhomolhari on clear days.
Conclude the day with a visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred Buddhist temples in Bhutan. In the evening, enjoy time at leisure in Paro town.
