Later, visit Drupthob Lhakhang, one of the few surviving nunneries in Bhutan. Continue to the Institute for Zorig Chusum, where students are trained in the thirteen traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan.

Visit the Institute of Traditional Medicine, where age-old Bhutanese healing practices are followed. Conclude the day at the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory, witnessing the traditional process of paper-making using natural tree bark.

Proceed towards the beautiful Punakha Valley, crossing the scenic Dochula Pass, adorned with 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens and offering breathtaking Himalayan views on clear days. Continue through lush landscapes to Punakha.

Visit Chhimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, associated with Lama Drukpa Kunley, the Divine Madman.

Explore the majestic Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece located at the confluence of two rivers and historically the seat of Bhutan’s government. If time permits, visit the Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan, before returning to Thimphu.

Later, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum), housing an exceptional collection of Bhutanese art, artifacts, and religious relics. Continue to Rinpung Dzong, an impressive fortress serving as Paro’s administrative and judicial center.
