En route, pause at the picturesque Dochula Pass, adorned with the 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges on clear days. In Punakha, enjoy a gentle walk to Chhimi Lhakhang, famously known as the Temple of Fertility, associated with the revered saint Lama Drukpa Kunley, also known as the Divine Madman.

Later, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, dramatically located at the confluence of two rivers and once the seat of Bhutan’s government. If time allows, experience the thrill of walking across the historic Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan. Return to Thimphu in the evening.

Explore the cultural highlights of Thimphu beginning with Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma), an iconic landmark overlooking the valley and housing thousands of smaller Buddha statues.

Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan, followed by a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, showcasing traditional Bhutanese life and architecture.

Later, visit Sangaygang View Point, offering sweeping panoramic views of Thimphu city, and the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal.

Proceed to Changangkha Lhakhang, an ancient hilltop temple revered by families seeking blessings. Conclude the day with a visit to the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and the central monastic body.

Travel to the scenic Paro Valley, one of Bhutan’s most historic regions. Begin sightseeing with Ta Dzong, now the National Museum of Bhutan, housing an exceptional collection of artifacts, paintings, and relics.

Continue to Rinpung Dzong, an architectural masterpiece serving as the administrative and religious center of Paro.

Stroll through Paro town, absorbing its relaxed atmosphere and traditional charm. Later, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.

Proceed to the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built to commemorate Bhutanese victories, and enjoy photo stops offering distant views of the legendary Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) and Paro Airport viewpoint. Return to Thimphu by evening.
