Detailed Itinerary
Arrive at NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport and proceed to Phuentsholing, the gateway town of Bhutan by road.
Situated at the foothills of the Himalayas, Phuentsholing is a vibrant commercial centre that reflects a unique blend of Bhutanese and Indian cultures. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
The rest of the day is free to relax or take a leisurely walk around the town and local markets.
Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Complete the immigration formalities and continue towards Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The scenic journey offers views of lush forests, river valleys, and mountain landscapes.
On arrival, check in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and acclimatize to the serene Himalayan environment.
Overnight stay at Thimphu.
Explore the cultural and spiritual highlights of Thimphu. Visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma), offering panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley and housing one of the largest Buddha statues in the world.
Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King, followed by a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, showcasing traditional Bhutanese lifestyle and architecture.
Later, enjoy sweeping views from Sangaygang View Point, visit the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal, and explore Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most revered temples in Thimphu.
Conclude the day with a visit to Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and central monastic body.

Proceed towards Punakha / Wangdue, crossing the scenic Dochu La Pass, adorned with 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens and colorful prayer flags, offering magnificent Himalayan vistas. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
Later, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, also known as the Palace of Great Happiness, once the seat of Bhutan’s government and still the winter residence of the central monastic body.
Continue with a gentle walk to Chhimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Temple of Fertility, founded by the legendary Lama Drukpa Kuenley, also known as the Divine Madman. The evening is free for leisure.
Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.
Continue onward to the picturesque Paro Valley. En route, visit the Royal Botanical Park at Lamperi, a haven for nature lovers with its rich variety of flora, including exotic rhododendrons, and diverse birdlife. On arrival in Paro, check in at the hotel.
Later, explore Ta Dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan, featuring an exceptional collection of Bhutanese art, relics, and religious artefacts.
Continue to Rinpung Dzong, an imposing fortress that serves as the administrative and judicial centre of Paro. The remainder of the day is free at leisure.

Visit the iconic Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), dramatically perched on a sheer cliff overlooking the Paro Valley. Built around Guru Rinpoche’s meditation cave, this sacred site is one of Bhutan’s most revered landmarks and offers a deeply spiritual experience.
If time permits, explore the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built to commemorate historic victories and preserved as a heritage site with breathtaking views of Mount Jhomolhari.
On the return, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, among the oldest and most sacred Buddhist temples in Bhutan.
