Begin the day with a visit to Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma), one of the most iconic landmarks of Bhutan, offering sweeping views of the Thimphu valley.

Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, a revered monument built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King, followed by a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, showcasing traditional Bhutanese life and architecture.

Later, enjoy panoramic views from Sangaygang View Point, then visit the Takin Preserve Centre, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal.

Proceed to Changangkha Lhakhang, an ancient hilltop temple popular for its spiritual significance and beautiful murals. Conclude the day with a visit to the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan’s government and central monastic body.

Travel through scenic mountain landscapes to the beautiful Punakha valley, stopping at the renowned Dochula Pass, adorned with 108 chortens and colorful prayer flags, offering breathtaking Himalayan views.

In Punakha, take a gentle walk to Chhimi Lhakhang, famously known as the Temple of Fertility. Continue to the magnificent Punakha Dzong, majestically located at the confluence of two rivers and known as the Palace of Great Happiness.

If time permits, visit the picturesque Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan. Return to Thimphu in the evening.

Proceed to the scenic Paro valley, stopping en route at Tamchog Lhakhang, a historic temple associated with the legendary iron bridge builder Thangthong Gyalpo.

In Paro, visit Ta Dzong – National Museum, housing an exceptional collection of Bhutanese art, relics, and sacred artifacts. Continue to Rinpung Dzong, a striking fortress that serves as Paro’s administrative and judicial center.

Later, explore Paro town and enjoy views of the beautiful valley.

Visit the legendary Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most revered site, dramatically perched on a cliff face. The hike to the monastery is a deeply rewarding experience, offering spiritual serenity and stunning views.

According to legend, Guru Rinpoche meditated here after flying on a tigress.

Later, visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built to commemorate Bhutanese victories, and enjoy views of Mount Jhomolhari on clear days. En route back, stop at Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.

Journey to Chele La Pass, the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, offering spectacular views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks and pristine forests adorned with prayer flags. The area is ideal for photography and bird watching.

On the return journey, hike down to Kila Goemba, a peaceful nunnery clinging to a rocky cliff, surrounded by meditation huts and tranquil landscapes.

Spend the evening exploring Paro town and shopping for local souvenirs.
