Arrive at Paro Airport and proceed to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Set in a picturesque valley, Thimphu uniquely blends ancient traditions with modern Bhutanese life. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

Begin the day with a visit to Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma), home to one of the largest Buddha statues in the world and offering sweeping views of the Thimphu Valley.

Continue to the National Memorial Chorten, built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan, followed by a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, which provides insight into traditional Bhutanese life.

Later, visit Sangaygang View Point, a scenic lookout offering panoramic views of the capital city. En route, stop at the Takin Preserve Centre, dedicated to Bhutan’s unique national animal.

Proceed to Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in the valley, revered for blessings and adorned with beautiful murals. In the evening, explore Tashichho Dzong, the grand fortress housing Bhutan’s government offices and the central monastic body.

Travel to the beautiful Punakha–Wangdue Valley, passing through the scenic Dochula Pass, adorned with 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens and prayer flags, offering magnificent Himalayan views on clear days.

On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later, visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, an architectural masterpiece built at the confluence of two rivers and historically the seat of Bhutan’s government.

Continue with a gentle walk to Chhimi Lhakhang, popularly known as the Temple of Fertility, associated with Lama Drukpa Kunley, the Divine Madman. The evening is free for leisure in the tranquil valley.

Proceed towards Paro, stopping en route at Lamperi to explore the Royal Botanical Park, home to diverse flora, exotic rhododendrons, and a rich variety of birdlife. On arrival in Paro, check in at the hotel.

Later, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum), housing an impressive collection of Bhutanese art, artifacts, and religious relics.

Continue to Rinpung Dzong, an imposing fortress that serves as the administrative and judicial center of Paro. The remainder of the evening is free to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Proceed to the starting point for the hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery, dramatically perched on a sheer cliff overlooking the Paro Valley.

Built around Guru Rinpoche’s meditation cave, this sacred site is one of Bhutan’s most revered landmarks and offers a truly spiritual experience.

If time permits, visit the historic ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built to commemorate Bhutanese victories, and enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Jhomolhari on clear days.

En route, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.
